Pirated Games Achievements Guide

Pirated Games Achievements Guide

December 22, 2025

Here is a guide on how to see achievements you’ve unlocked with pirated games using Achievement Watcher and Goldberg.

Achievement Watcher can also do achievement notifications, clips, and screenshots to make it seem more official. This is my personal method, and it’s been pretty reliable. While it might seem like a lot due to the pictures and number of steps, I just tried to be as specific as possible. A majority of it is just setup and won’t have to be repeated every time.

Things to Know

  • This guide is focused on Steam games.
  • You have to patch most games manually.
  • Might not be able to get achievements you already unlocked previously
  • Some games might not work with Goldberg.
  • You can use already cracked games; SteamAutoCrack will replace any crack already added.
  • Some cracks or games might change the save file location based on the crack used.

1. Get your Steam API Key

(no it’s not my real API key)

2. Download and Extract Steam-Auto-Crack

Download the latest SteamAutoCrack.zip
https://github.com/SteamAutoCracks/Steam-auto-crack/releases

Extract it and run SteamAutoCrack.exe

3. Using SteamAutoCrack

SteamAutoCrack can seem overwhelming, but there are only a few options you need to mess with.

3a. Change your Settings

Press the Settings button (1) and make sure to enable Save Config File (2), and then make sure to update Goldberg (3)

3b. Change the Generator API to Steam Web API (1) and then enter your API key (2)

3c. Add the game you want

Select the three dots next to the Path (1) and choose the Folder option. (2)
Then choose the main folder for your game.

You don’t need to choose the folder where the .exe is located. Just choose the main folder for the game.

3d. Add the AppID

Press the AppID Finder (1), and then it will show a search menu. Make sure the App Name is correct (2) and select the right game (3). It might also show DLCs and demos, which can make it difficult to find the right one.
You could also just add the AppID yourself if you know how to find it.

3e. Running SteamAutoCrack

Now you should be all set to go. Just press the Start button at the bottom.

You can check if it worked by finding a steam_settings folder in your game. It might be hidden somewhere, but when you find it, you should also find an achievement_images folder inside it.

4. Achievement Watcher

Download Achievement Watcher from here
https://github.com/darktakayanagi/Achievement-Watcher/releases/latest
Achievement.Watcher.Setup.x.x.xx.exe

Your games should pop up if you’ve played them with Goldberg.

5. Next time You Want to Get Achievements for a Game.

You might be wondering if all of this is necessary for every single game. Fortunately, most of this was just setup and if you want to add a new game, just follow steps 3c to 3e. That’s all.

Troubleshooting

My Game Doesn’t Show Up in Achievement Watcher

  • If the steam_settings folder or steam_api.dll.bak (and steam_api64.dll.bak) already exists, SteamAutoCrack won’t replace the crack or add the achievement files. These will need to be deleted or renamed first and then you can run SteamAutoCrack again.
  • You might need to unlock an achievement first.
  • If you already had Achievement Watcher open, you might need to reload it to detect any changes. Press the Settings icon at the top, and just press Save. It will reload and show you any new changes.

My Game Doesn’t Launch or Work Anymore

  • Sometimes a game might not support Goldberg, or might not work with Goldberg alone. You can try checking cs.rin.ru to see if anyone posted a solution for this, specifically for achievements.
  • If you want to restore the original crack, you can use the Restore Crack button in SteamAutoCrack

My Save File is Gone

  • While this is uncommon, some games might change the save file location based on the User ID or some other factors. You can use PCGamingWiki to find out where your save file is located.
  • Some cracks can also change the save file location. This shouldn’t be the case for Goldberg, so it’s likely the original crack, if there was any, used a custom save location which you will need to find.
